Tom Montefinese
Board Director


Mr Montefinese is a doctor oriented, process and results driven Chief Executive Officer with over 35 years experience in development, operation and growth strategies of Dental practices across the United States.

He is currently involved in planning and creating general business policies and practices including the enforcement of specific company policies in the dental field of operations. He has the responsibility of department chairmen. Mr Montefinese has extensive knowledge in creating business plans and forecasts for as many as 101 independent dental offices. He evaluates Profit and Loss statements monthly and creates strong business plans designed to limit costs and increase profitability (EBITDA) while ensuring maximum customer service and satisfaction. Keen analytical abilities enable him to translate and convert data into a matrix for problem solving and performance enhancement. He is able to create action plans with specific end results in mind and follow through to completion of those plans.

He is a strong team builder and leader with a formal and extensive training background.

Mr. Montefinese was later appointed VP of Operations for Coast Dental Services and took the task of turning around 14 Dental Units in Virginia that were losing over $1 million per quarter. Once understanding the functions, inefficien

jcies and personnel issues, Mr. Montefinese took 6 months to bring the unit to profitability. The million-dollar loss per quarter was turned into a $250,000 profit by the third quarter. Finally diving over $1.3 million to $1.5 million per quarter after the first year. Mr. Montefinese was then named Vice President of Operations for the west coast of Florida. This included 36 offices. Mr Montefinese re-engineered the training program, business plans for each location and instituted a forecasting plan for each manager to deliver. Within 12 months, Mr. Montefinese and his team took a net operating loss of $941,000 to a net operating profit of $738,000. By the second year, the team reached $1.627 million in net operating profit. EBITDA again reached over 25% consistently, Budget planning and consistent training resulted in decreased turnover and overall overhead. Complete oversight of billing, business operations, customer service, doctor relations and staff retention were paramount to the successful turnaround.

Mr. Montefinese was then recruited to Great Expressions Dental Centers as the first outside Vice President of Operations and the first non-dentist. Initially starting with the worst performing 14 practices, within 8 months all locations were profitable with noticeable changes in staff, training, customer service, proper procedure coding and billing, and overall team management for process improvement. Over the 12.5 years, with Great Expressions Dental Centers, he was responsible for continuing operations of 101 dental practices of the 215 total. This included DeNovo (new constructed offices) and acquisition integrations. Mr. Montefinese was responsible for $136 million in revenue with EBITDA ranges from 24.6% to 26.7%. He was asked to take Georgia’s 36 poorly performing offices and implement consistent strategies with the other regions, and grew the revenue and EBITDA within a year. Tom took inherited revenue of $56.4 million and 13.1% EBITDA to $79.3 million and 19.9% EBITDA.

Mr. Montefinese moved to Sage Dental to transition the Chief Operating Officer. There he developed growth plans and opened a new Orlando, Fl. region. Within 6 months of opening 5 locations they were the most successful DeNovo locations in the company.
Shortly after joining Sage, Mr. Montefinese was courted by Private Equity to take on the role as Chief Executive Officer at Absolute Dental. With 25 locations and a mom and pop operation, the charge was to professionalize the operation and prepare it for growth. Tom had to rebuild the entire company, from computer system integration to billing and collections to hiring staff as well as C Suite Executives. The team worked through numerous challenges with payors and creditors and this project ended up being a total remake. After two years and putting the company on a solid foundation, Mr. Montefinese turned the company over to the COO who he hired and groomed for the position.

Tom retired for a year and was then asked to return to a private company as President of Dentrust Dental – AAFES Division, working with the military to provide Dental Offices on military installations for dependents and retirees. With Mr. Montefinese’s military background and understanding of the base processes and procedures, this was a perfect match. There are currently 9 dental offices in various building stages with 23 to begin within the next 18 months. Mr. Montefinese has built a team of 6 professionals who worked with him before to develop the Military Dental Strategy.

Mr. Montefinese served in the military for 12 years (all in the dental field). He holds an Associates in Science from the Community College of the Air Force and a BS/M from The University of Phoenix. Mr. Montefinese currently resides with his family in St. Petersburg, Florida.

Lynn Campbell
Board Director


Lynn Campbell is distinguished by his “unrelenting focus on quality and efficiency combined with a genuine concern and commitment for all who are around him”.  These attributes have been hallmarks of Lynn’s career.  As a Senior Operations Management Executive, his management expertise spans the full range of operational functions – HR, IT, P&L, accounting, customer service, administration, quality assurance and training.  His marketing expertise, creating value propositions for customers and penetrating new markets for services. His many years of experience in leading teams makes Lynn a well-rounded business leader equipped and driven to handle any situation impeding corporate initiatives.

Since 2012, Lynn has held the seat of President & CEO at BLACK OPS MANAGEMENT SOLUTIONS, a management & strategic DSO advisory firm based out of Dallas, Texas.  In this capacity, he has witnessed the continuing changes in the dental care industry, and has a deep understanding of the headaches, pressures and challenges experienced by dental business owners, companies and executive teams. Core function is the direct provision of or significant support in strategic decision making related to the management of activities of a dental practice that do not involve the statutory practice of dentistry. Of fourteen emerging DSO engagements, nine have become formalized DSO platforms and of those, seven have sold at double digit multiples.

During these same years, Lynn held the Vice President, Corporate Development position at DENTAQUEST CARE GROUP (DQCG); the second largest oral health company in the United States and the largest in the Medicaid space.  It was during the CSHM LLC divestiture, DentaQuest Care Group, hand-selected Lynn to consult on assessing and building the dental services organization owning the roles of: Facility Planning, Construction Management, and Real Estate Oversight in order to evaluate and recommend facility options while working closely with legal counsel to develop, negotiate, and execute definitive agreements for all transaction types.  Growing the core business platform through de novo and affiliation from 17 dental centers in 1 state to 32 dental centers; 4 vision care and 2 pediatric medical care in three states and on-boarding business collaboration partnering with Advantage Dental Group and its ~300 dentist-owners, strengthening commitment to prevention-focused, quality care.

Prior, Lynn was retained as Executive Vice President at CSHM, LLC to strengthen center management and serve as go-to leader for operational efficiency and drive change management and improvements in communications, strategic execution, leadership development, corporate governance, risk management, and procedural compliance. From thorough fact-based analysis, identify and quantify potential EBITDA adjustments and working capital risks and opportunities to create business plans to deliver improve EBITDA 6.9% by engaging Practice Owners in managing Quality of Care dentistry.  

Lynn embarked on his career in the Dental space in the role of Director of Operations with American Dental Partners in 2010.  There he was responsible as senior management with oversight of budget, full P&L accountability and operations of one of the largest, multi-specialty dental affiliates within the American Dental Partners (ADP) footprint. Affiliate comprised of 37 dental practices delivering approximately $50M net revenue. Provide the overall strategic and tactical leadership, counsel and direction to 250+ teammates and effective relationships with 65+ Doctors. 

Prior to professional consulting experience in Life Sciences & Healthcare Practices, Lynn served four years in an executive role with Bank of America Consumer Banking.  He spearheaded sales, service, operations, and attainment of customer and associate satisfaction while developing de novo and executing business plans based upon enterprise and operational plan and vision.  From 1988 until 2005, Lynn held management positions for major retail organizations. It was during this time he found himself as the ambassador for these corporations to field managers to ensure, implementation, and execution on all operational and store aspects.  Charged with synchronizing business development efforts across sales forecasting, marketing, top-talent retention and multi-million dollar budgets. Lynn’s natural leadership constantly delivers high-performance teams focused on delivering sales results, branding presentation, and service expectation.

Dr. Allen Hardin White III, (Trey)
Board Director


Dr. Allen Hardin White, III, also known as “Trey”, was born and raised in Virginia Beach and joined Oceanfront Dentistry in 1998. They perform general/ cosmetic/ implant dentistry, orthodontics, minimal sedation dentistry, oral appliances, root canal, crowns, bridges and dentures.

He attended Hampden Sydney College for his undergraduate studies and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. Dr. White then attended the Medical College of Virginia School of Dentistry, where he received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. Dr. White is committed to giving back to the community and loves being a part of  Hampton Roads, VA.. He is an active member (and former board member) of the Virginia Noblemen. Dr. White currently serves on the Board of Directors of St. Mary’s Home for Disabled Children, as well as the Board of Equikids Therapeutic Riding Program. He has been appointed by the Mayor to the Health Services Advisory Board. In addition to serving on the advisory board of the Judeo Christian Outreach Center, he serves as the volunteer dentist for the Salvation Army. He is the founder and director of Team Hoyt VB and founding board member of Surfers Healing VB (an Autism Surf Camp).

Since earning his degree, Dr. White has exceeded the required amount of continuing education every year, with a recent concentration in Dental Implant Surgery.  He has such a passion in this field that he has created, patented and received FDA clearance on a dental implant healing abutment which greatly improves the healing and sculpting of the gum tissue around implants. Dr. White also cares for elderly patients at Sentara Nursing Center in Virginia Beach and Beth Sholom Home of Eastern Virginia.

Ray Caruso


Ray Caruso has been the CEO of Lone Peak Dental Group since 2017. LPDG is a collection of specialty dental practices throughout the United States. Little did he know when he joined the US Army as a dental assistant in 1991, he was starting a long career in dentistry.

After serving his country and graduating college, he joined Heartland Dental, working at the front desk of one of their early offices. Heartland shaped his business acumen and provided the basis for his growth into new operational roles. He later joined DecisionOne Dental in Chicago as their COO, propelling him into new leadership roles in M&A. This new experience in change management and execution prepared him for his move to Lone Peak Dental, where he built the infrastructure necessary to support and grow it into the $90 million-dollar company it is today. 

At Lone Peak Dental Group, Ray provides executive leadership for this Private Equity backed DSO with $80 million revenue and $12.8 million in post-corporate EBITDA. Lone Peak manages 62 practices throughout 15 states seeing pediatrics, oral surgery and orthodontics with a clinical profit margin of $21 million. Mr. Caruso leads the executive leadership team in M&A, human resources, finance, accounting, doctor recruiting, marketing, procurement, compliance and operations. He leads operations and provides strategic direction with full responsibility of bottom-line factors including same store revenue enhancement, cost structure and has successfully integrated and managed newly acquired practices into the platform. Mr. Caruso has developed and introduced operating systems and reporting for legacy offices; KPI improvement and development in FP&A. He acquired 10 stand-alone practices and 8 De Novo’s in a 12-month period. Implemented integration system for improved culture and successful EBITDA. Enriched legacy offices with same store sales growth of 8% in first three quarters 2019 with strong EBITDA flow through of 45%. Implemented company-wide on-line scheduling protocols. Also Invoked doctor recruiter with internal and field responsibilities including on-site dental school programs.

As the Chief Operations Officer at DecisionOne Dental Partners from 2013 to 2017, Mr. Caruso supervised operations to grow the Dental Service Organization.  He added 12 offices in the first two years, and increased gains from $8m to $27m, with EBITDA 21% office level. He developed support infrastructure – HR, Acquisitions, Marketing, IT, A/R, Training, Clinical and Regional Coaches and provided ongoing leadership and training to operational infrastructure and support center team leaders. Mr. Caruso created productivity strategies driving same store sales in founding practices, significantly improving EBITDA.  He provided annual budgets for established practices and models for incoming practices in addition to creating reporting structures for daily, weekly and monthly measurement. He worked directly with dental software companies on automation and improvement, established and maintained working relationships with brokers and vendors to improve the pool of quality, and available practices. He also worked directly with the acquisitions team on selection, due diligence, LOI and offers.  Mr. Caruso established HR protocols for recruiting and retaining team members, doctors and support staff and provided HR manager and recruiter support and continued refinement. Cost per acquired patient was subsequently reduced and improved cost per initial visit over the first 12 months spend. He actualized operational systems at the office level, developed training programs and manuals supporting best practices and developed strategies for growth and development with established and incoming practices. He. worked closely with the clinical team and supported quality compliance programs to ensure patients receive standards of excellence.

From 2000 to 2010 Mr. Caruso was Regional Director of Operations at Heartland Dental Care where he supervised 67 offices in seven states, a $101 million production, $89 million revenue and $19 million contribution margin. He was responsible for 650 doctors, administrative and team members. Mr. Caruso holds a Bachelor of Arts from Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville Bachelor of Arts and has an Honorable Discharge from the U.S. Army. When he’s not working, he’s cycling or skiing with his wife and daughters in Denver, CO. 

Giovanni Baquerizo
Founding Board Member


J. Giovanni Baquerizo is an entrepreneur and seasoned executive with a pedigree in Finance,  Technology, Sports, Digital Media and Healthcare. For more than twenty years he has developed market strategies for brands to capture consumers through fully integrated tactics that encompassed television, digital, mobile and branded content. Past incarnations included executive level positions with GE/ NBC Universal, ESPN, Univision, and Conde Nast in addition to several digital startups in animation, music publishing, search engine marketing and e-commerce.

In 2004 he founded Alec Charles Management Advisors. Over the last sixteen years the firm has diversified its services into the area of technology, intellectual property development, and further expansion into media, brand development, and consumer marketing. The firm focuses on helping nascent companies with capital raises, private equity investment and the development of long-range business strategies with defined exits. Moreover, having worked with Fortune 500 companies has enabled him to parlay his experiences into growth opportunities for startup businesses by creating unique market scenarios for new product/ service launches and the implementation of a defensible advantage amidst competitors. The firm’s aggregate investments and capital raises total over $29 million.

In 2008 Mr. Baquerizo launched Adcrylics, an Out of Home media company that focused on the captive mall consumer market. The company was later sold to a division of General Growth Properties in South Florida. Subsequently, in 2010 he co-founded a retail consumer brand (Humo Del Diablo) with a focus on niche and luxury markets. The business expanded to 39 U.S. markets and achieved a market capitalization of $12 million within two years.

In 2014 he founded Aether Design Lab, LLC (a commercial automation, design and construction management firm). There he set the company’s business and marketing imperatives in addition to positioning the firm for diversification into other segments within  commercial construction. In 2017, the firm synthesized and won a landmark bid for a three year ($21 million) project for a major U.S. luxury brand.

Mr. Baquerizo’s most recent endeavor is in healthcare. He co-founded a management company in the Elderly Care space with the goal of consolidation and organization of  agencies through partnerships and regional acquisitions. The company has already acquired several agencies and intends to expand vertically integrated clusters that will eliminate redundancies in operations, cut costs through group purchases, introduce new revenue streams, and increase cash-flow. His foray into this segment has given way to the launch of TruWhite Dental where he will curate the company’s business strategy. Giovanni’s strengths lie in ideation, learning the nuances of different industries quickly and expertly and thinking of new ways to innovate and scale. He also possesses an acute understanding of what motivates consumers to engage with brands. 

Mr. Baquerizo has a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing from the Silberman School of Business at Fairleigh Dickinson University in New Jersey. He currently resides with his family in the New York City Metro area. 

Josh Rubin
Founding Board Member


A military career that began with the U.S. Marine Corps under the leadership of Capt. Mundy USMC with the development of the “Super Squad” and General Mundy Sr. Commandant of the USMC; this was a distinguished position held by Mr. Rubin as one of eight Elite Team Members. Part of their duties included conducting “Highly Promoted Presentations” for VIPs and dignitaries from all over the world. In 1995 his military career ended due to an injury and Mr. Rubin was awarded a Good Conduct Medal and was Honorably Discharged. 

Since 1997 Mr. Rubin has focused on building an enterprising and formidable assortment of businesses in several different industries which included a construction company in Virginia Beach and Norfolk. In 2010 he founded an imported cigar brand (Recon Cigars) that paid homage to the military. In 2012 he founded and launched Recon Tactical Supply, a retail and e-commerce platform that sells tactical equipment and merchandise in addition to other services directly Involved with the military community and foreign government procurement offices. RECON TACTICAL, LLC. is a Class III Type 7 FFL Manufacturer/Distributor/Retailer of Heavy Machine Gun, Precision Sniper Rifle, and Bulk ammunition to Federal & Local law enforcement, U.S. Department of Defense, and several U.S. NATO allies Defense Ministries. The company is a full-line retailer of leading brands of firearms, firearm accessories, tactical clothing, gear and accessories to the Military, Law Enforcement and Civilian Operators. Mr. Rubin has established distribution and e-commerce channels to target military personnel (active & retired), law enforcement, special operators, first responders and the hunting enthusiast communities, which represent over $26 billion in annual buying power. His experience in building the infrastructure and leading teams to effectively market to these very specific segments of consumers has proven invaluable. Having far reaching personal and professional ties to major U.S. Department Of Defense Contractors and Suppliers have played a pivotal part in the company’s growth strategy which has generated over $5 million in annual revenue.

Simultaneously, in 2012 Mr. Rubin started RECON GLOBAL LLC. A Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business. Its mission is to increase government and industry’s performance by shouldering complex mission essential challenges. Josh has been able to establish a business who’s advantage is in its diverse and comprehensive network of partners. Regardless of the nature and scope of their organizational challenges, the company, along with its partner network delivers solutions that allow superior performance in the most demanding business and operational environments. The corporate imperatives set forth by Mr. Rubin have maintained low operational costs that increases value for its clients. He set a vision to become the government’s and industry’s foremost provider of mission support equipment and services and he achieved this by providing economically sensible and customer focused solutions. 

His military and business credentials have driven the companies to establish a strong presence in the market. Mr. Rubin has active participation with organizations such as the Young Marines, and The Underground Demolitions Team (UDT) Navy Seals Association. He is also a member of the Virginia Noblemen. Mr. Rubin currently resides in Chesapeake, VA.

Noah Daves
Founding Board Member


Noah Daves is currently a founding partner of TruWhite Dental and St. Raphael Healthcare, where he has successfully developed the architecture for the business strategy, execution and finance for both companies. He has a solid track record of driving substantial revenue growth, scaling operations and reducing costs across all business functions. He possesses a “Voir dire-esque” ability for handpicking management,  building teams, and holding P&L responsibility. 

With St. Raphael healthcare, Mr. Daves created a healthcare management company in the Elderly Care space with the goal of consolidation and organization of elderly care agencies through partnerships and constant acquisitions through local and regional companies. Part of the strategy is to increase the quality of service and set a higher standard of care for the industry. He has developed a blueprint to acquire and expand clusters of vertically integrated agencies that will eliminate redundancies in operations, cut costs through group purchases, introduce new revenue streams, improve cross selling services and processes, and increase profit through board and management expertise.

Mr. Daves has developed a loyal, high- retention workforce within the businesses he manages and has a keen ability to simplify complex concepts into clear agendas that influence corporate policy and gain valuable support from all stakeholders. Noah is skillful at creative financing for mergers and acquisitions and is capable at formulating  unique financial structures for every deal that he has participated in. Mr. Daves has been trained and mentored by healthcare executives in middle market acquisitions. He is exceptional at creating alignments with professionals from a wide range of industries and corporate hierarchies – from frontline associates to boards of directors and investors. 

Mr. Daves is the driving force behind TruWhite Dental’s external growth. He is a hands-on executive who takes hefty action with acute focus and pushes until the objective is achieved. In addition, having a background in new home construction has helped him develop excellent time management skills and the ability to effortlessly manage multiple projects with many layers of complexity.

Mr. Daves holds a B.B.A. degree in Business Management with a Minor in Entrepreneurship from the College of Business at James Madison University. He currently resides in Chesapeake, VA.
